Harbor Grain
A menu that feels like a paper bag, not a template.
Big type, honest prices, and an order button where a thumb actually lands. The morning buns are fictional. The layout problem was not.
A bakery on the Glassharbor wharf
Same studio, no windows. Oddmint designs interfaces for shops, rooms, and the occasional ferry. Everyone on this page is fictional.
Oddmint is a two-person interface studio above a lamp shop in Glassharbor. We design the screen people actually stay on: a strong first view, type you can read at arm’s length, and a next step that is obvious.
This desk is the portfolio. The studio, the neighbors, and every project on it are fictional. Mintbox started as a joke operating system. Clients remembered the desk faster than they remembered a slideshow, so we kept it.
Design and words
Maren draws the first screen until it feels inevitable, then writes the sentence that tells you what to do.
Build
Otto makes the thing load, move, and survive a thumb on a small phone. He named the desk Mintbox and refuses to rename it.
The clock on the taskbar is not only a clock. Sound stays off until you ask for it. The Start menu swaps the wallpaper. CRT is a taskbar switch, and it stays off if you prefer less motion. If you would rather read than click, the readable version has the same words without the windows.

The page answers “when is the next boat?” before the history of the dock.
A timetable, a wind note, and one map drawn as a diagram. Travelers get the next departure. Locals get the Sunday special.
A short fictional ferry
2024 · Place
A booking page calm enough for people who came to be quiet.
No countdown timers. A chair count, the house rules, and a form that asks how long you want the lamp. We kept the color of the walls.
A one-room reading library

One story, no carousel. The scent notes sit in a column you can read.
Each bar gets a color, a use, and nothing else shouting. The add-to-bag control stays put while the story scrolls past it.
Four soaps and a strong opinion
2023 · School
Parents get the practical bits. Kids get a kite.
Times, prices, and what to pack sit above the fold. A paper kite drifts behind the headline and sits still if motion is turned down.
An after-school studio
Sample ranges for this demo, not a quote. A real job starts with a call and a page count.
A full site from the first sketch to the last breakpoint. Home, a handful of pages, and a way to get in touch.
From $4,800
One idea, one scroll, one action. Built to be sent to a friend without an apology.
From $2,200
Type, color, and the boring parts that keep a brand from drifting: buttons, forms, and the small screens.
$3,600 a week
A microsite, a desk, a toy. We only build the playful thing if it still makes sense with the sound off.
Scoped on a call
We work remotely from Glassharbor, and we will say no if the job is a better fit for someone else.
